Brooke and Marty's Wedding

Well, on Saturday the 12th of April, we had Brooke and Marty's wedding. Luke was best man and I was maid of honour. After it rained basically all Friday night, we woke to find Saturday was a beautiful day - sunshine, blue sky, marvellous.

While Luke, Marty and the other 2 groomsmen, Troy and Damien relaxed and did whatever it is boys do on the morning of a wedding. Brooke, Trilby, Meg (other bridesmaids) and I were up early and straight into the process of getting ready. Hair, make-up, dress on - busy, busy. Before we knew it, the photographer had arrived. After a few happy snaps, we were off to the chapel at Potter's Cottage.

The ceremony was beautiful. Both Marty and Brooke couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces. They make a gorgeous couple. All too soon, it was over and we were heading to Fergusson's Winery for the reception. We had a fantastic night, having a dance and a catch up with everyone. The venue was perfect and suited Brooke and Marty to a tee.

It was a very hectic, but fabulous day that ended way too soon. Brooke and Marty are now on their honeymoon to the Top End, while the rest of us adjust back to normality. Ryan also did well on his first overnight stays (Friday with grandma and grandpa, Saturday with Auntie Vanessa and uncle Bruce).

Ryan photos

Just wanted to put up some new photos of Ryan. Just so everyone can see how big he's getting. In 16 days, he'll be turning one!!! Very exciting! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone.

Welcome to my Blog!

Hey everyone,
I've finally got into the world of blogging! Very exciting. I'm hoping to add a post every week or so, just updating on what Luke, Ryan and I have been up to. Thought it was the easiest way I could keep in contact with everyone. So here goes:

Ryan's busy growing and getting more active. He's started crawling - sort of. Does about 2 or 3 crawls before sliding back on to his tummy. It's very exciting as he was starting to get frustrated at not being able to move. He's also very chatty - though we don't know what he's saying. An occasional 'da,da,da' - Luke's sure it's a 'dad'.

Apart from that, Luke's been very busy at work. Still enjoying it, which is good. And we've both been busy getting ready for Brooke and Marty's wedding next Saturday. Luke's best man and I'm matron of honour, so we're very excited!

Anyhow, hope this finds everyone healthy and happy.
